A Taste of Jazz?

Posted on May 23, 2015 with 0 comments
I am a secret jazz student, often playing and figuring out standards in the privacy of my own home.  I was able to record a couple of tunes at Owl Mountain, Ethan Turner's recording studio in Inverness Park, a few weeks ago, and am pleased to announce it is available worldwide for streaming and download.  You can click here to download on iTunes:

Ex'pressions College

Michael Bello & I were able to record a couple of Milly Wandering tracks during a student session at Ex'pressions College in Emeryville last Thursday.  It was the Neve studio, which meant we recorded on tape.  This is a rare treat for musicians these days, as the expense of tape is great, but the resulting sound so rich and warm.  The recording process is slow at Ex'pressions, as musicians have to wait for studio time to become available, and the capable students work a bit slower than industry professionals.  Regardless, felt great to step outside of my comfort zone...and hopefully it won't be *too* long before the tracks are available to you!

It takes a lot of work to put a new album together!  In the meantime, I was itching to get back in the studio.  I put down a couple of tracks yesterday.  Can't wait to share them with you!

Thank You!
